I am a master's candidate at University of Maryland, College Park where I'm studying journalism with a focus on videography.  I received my undergraduate degrees from Boston University, receiving a B.A. and a B.S. in four years, studying photojournalism and international relations.

Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, I went to the Bryn Mawr School.  During my senior year, I took my first photography class.  The experience of taking a picture, then processing the film and printing in a darkroom gave me a knowledge and perspective on photography that is sometimes lost in the digital age.
I enrolled in Boston University during fall of 2009 as an International Relations major.  Midway through my sophomore year, I became a dual degree candidate, adding a bachelors degree in journalism with a focus on photojournalism.
Suffering from chronic wanderlust I have been to over 20 countries, and have lived in Germany and the United Kingdom in addition to the United States.  I believes that travel is a vital part of life and of gaining a better understanding of the world in which we live.
